The Latin Percussion LP-441T-M is yet another practical idea by the renowned Latin Percussion brand: a dual shaker with two detachable parts. As such, you can choose whether you want to hold both of them in one hand as a pair, or hold one in each hand. This blue medium version is suitable for virtually any type of musical situation, ranging from live performances to studio recordings.
Combining the Twist Shakers
The Latin Percussion Twist Shaker (Medium) allows you to get just the right amount of volume and the perfect timbre. You can detach the two shakers and use just one of them, for instance. Alternatively, you can also combine one of these blue shakers with one of the louder LP441T-L Twist Shakers (red), or the softer LP441T-S (yellow) models.

Ik heb deze shaker samen met de Soft variant aangeschaft voor een aantal akoestische gigs. En wat een heerlijke dingetjes. De shakers liggen lekker in de hand, voelen solide aan en het twist-mechanisme werkt perfect, binnen enkele seconden heb je de shakers ontkoppeld of juist gekoppeld. Met de 2 shakers zijn er 5 verschillende setups te maken (geel, geel-geel, geel-blauw, blauw-blauw, blauw) en allemaal hebben ze een eigen verfijnde klank.
De medium shaker is een wat hardere shaker. Deze geeft een duidelijker accent op de tel en is daarbuiten wat minder 'vol'. Ze zijn perfect voor wat hardere settings waar ze duidelijk de click door laten komen.
De soft shaker (http://www.bax-shop.nl/shakers-caxixis/latin-percussion-lp441t-s-lp-twist-shaker-soft-shaker/product-details.html) geeft een fijne basis aan de muziek. Er is een constant shakergeluid aanwezig en de shaker geeft een heerlijk accentje op de tel. Ze zijn vrij zacht, en daardoor perfect te gebruiken in combinatie met percussie en bijvoorbeeld een kleine akoestische band. Hoewel ik het niet heb getest, denk ik dat dit ook een perfecte shaker is voor studiowerk, door de fijne en warme klank.
De combinatie van de twee leverde ook een fijn resultaat op. Door de fijne, warme klank van de soft shaker te combineren met het duidelijke accent van de medium shaker is een unieke shakersound te maken. De combinatie geel-geel en geel-blauw heb ik het meest gebruikt tot nu toe. Geen seconde spijt van deze aankoop!

Ik heb de Medium Twist Shaker net gekocht ter vervanging van de bekende eitjes. Net ook een eerste optreden gedaan met deze shaker en hij is me goed bevallen. Je komt gemakkelijk in het gevraagde ritme en ge kunt dit goed bijhouden. Het geluid is sterker dan de eitjes en ge kunt er meer "expressie" inleggen, meer nadruk en gevoel.
